It sounds like there aren't good deals though, you'll pay about the same as in the US, except for if you shop at the duty free stores in the airport. It also sounds like most Thai people are dark skinned but hate it and so many of the foundations have bleach or other whiteners in them, including well known brands that you know from back home, so check labels carefully. I've also heard that you shouldn't buy makeup in the markets, only in reputable pharmacies/department stores/malls. The stuff sold in the markets is counterfeit and may have dangerous ingredients.
